Workshops, bootcamps and meetings
Method taught by the people who use it.
Programmes taught in the order a researcher needs them: the conduct expected of a research author, the synthesis and statistics that frame a question, then the working content of immunology, genetics, structural biology and machine learning. Alongside them sit the longer supervised bootcamps and a standing research development meeting. Each one carries a project, and the project is what is assessed.
A place is taken on one programme at a time, and every fee on this page is the Centre's own figure, read from the catalogue as you load it rather than written into the page.

IBRTC
The place, and the fee for it
Your seat on a workshop or a bootcamp is bought on this site. The fee, the reference to quote, the receipt you send and the confirmation that comes back all belong here.
CISBM
The record, and the progression
Having taken the programme is recorded at cisbm.org, against your membership, and it is the Centre that decides the progression level it carries. Nothing about your scientific record is kept here.
What is open
Enrolling opens in your portal: you choose the programme there, the Centre sends you the payment details with a reference, and your place is held while the fee is settled. Nothing is taken on this page.
The catalogue is loading. If it does not appear, every open programme is also listed inyour portal.
No places are open just now.
Programmes appear here as soon as they are open for enrolment. In the meantime, supervision is arranged one to one and is open all year.
The catalogue could not be read.
This is a fault at our end rather than anything you have done, and the programmes are unaffected.
Workshops
Short taught programmes, each on one method or one body of working knowledge, with a supervised project at the end that is what the Centre actually assesses. A place is bought one programme at a time.
Bootcamps
A longer supervised stretch that ends in a piece of written work rather than a certificate of attendance. The two versions differ only in the supervision attached: the first is supervised as part of the event, the second gives you a supervisor of your own for the duration.
Research Development Meetings
A standing meeting rather than a course: work in progress is brought, read and argued over by the people in the room, month after month. It is taken as a subscription, and it runs for as long as you keep it.
Also open
Anything else the Centre has opened for enrolment that is none of the three above. One-to-one supervision is arranged on its own page rather than taken as a place here.
Everything after enrolling happens in your portal: the payment details, the receipt you upload, and the confirmation the Centre issues once it has been checked. Your participation is then written to your CISBM record.
Where the workshops carry you
Programmes are taken in whatever order suits you. At the Centre, the programmes behind a member decide the progression level they hold: the two foundational halves together make a Research Associate, and each further programme with its supervised project carries the grade higher. The four grades above the climb are given by application to the councils rather than earned by attendance.
The levels, and the applications for the four above the climb, are the Centre's.Read how progression works at CISBM.
